Okay, I have to share some verbiage on this momentous occasion. I am so excited and so depressed all at the same time. Let me explain just a little bit. I am so excited because my little girl (not so little anymore) has reached a pinnacle of success in her young life that I was too ignorant to follow through on. She has surpassed me in this area in her life and I continue to pray that she surpasses me in many other areas of life as well. She is beginning a new stage in her life and the world is her oyster, as the saying goes. Hope she doesn't get sick on it :) Our relationship will be changing into something more than what it has been for so many years and our conversations will be more like friends than parent/child. Luckily this has been slowly changing to this type of relationship anyway, as she has been maturing beyond her years and continues to do so. I am really looking forward to how God is going to use her to guide and lead younger children. I'm looking forward to her...
Well we're back and we had a blast! We enjoyed Meridian State Park in Meridian, TX this year. The past several years we enjoyed going to Whitney State Park but wanted a different place this year. And boy, did we hit the jackpot! We made some great memories, saw some wonderful wonders and praised our Lord for all He continues to do just for us! There's allot of history at the Meridian State Park and man is it BEAUTIFUL. Hidden away in the wooded hills northwest of Waco lies Meridian State Park, a haven for nature lovers and fishing enthusiasts. The park's 72-acre lake offers fishing in addition to swimming, and no-wake boating. A hiking trail encircling Lake Meridian features limestone outcroppings with fossils, a scenic overlook and aquatic vegetation. Birdwatching is excellent and there is a good chance of seeing the rare Golden-cheeked Warbler. Meridian State Park, near Meridian, TX in Bosque County, is a 505.4-acre park. A rock and earth...
It's been a long while since my last post. Lots of things always going on & really don't have an excuse other than I don't lead an exciting life. Starting the month of October I started working on my husband's 40th birthday party. Boy, am I glad that's over with! Note to self: NEVER plan a party the week of Thanksgiving! I spent the entire week with his mom helping with Thanksgiving dinner that was gone in 45 minutes! What a blessed life I have!! I love doing parties, especially for those I hold very dear! I spent many hours making an 1972 timeline, 40 years worth of pictures to make a slide show, decorations, food, & a good bit of money! It took 2 months of me saving up my "blow money" to help pay for his party. So thankful that Rob's parents helped pay for some of it, I honestly wouldn't have been able to do it alone. The Invitation A big thank you to all that came early to make food & helped set up, helped throughou...
That's so amazing! What an inspiration!
