In awe of my Lord!

We began our Chapter 10 study of the Solar System, Stars, Time & Seasons. It's a 21 day study & we're on day 5 beginning tomorrow. I found this today & can't wait to watch it with the kids tomorrow.

Okay, I have to share some verbiage on this momentous occasion. I am so excited and so depressed all at the same time. Let me explain just a little bit. I am so excited because my little girl (not so little anymore) has reached a pinnacle of success in her young life that I was too ignorant to follow through on. She has surpassed me in this area in her life and I continue to pray that she surpasses me in many other areas of life as well. She is beginning a new stage in her life and the world is her oyster, as the saying goes. Hope she doesn't get sick on it :) Our relationship will be changing into something more than what it has been for so many years and our conversations will be more like friends than parent/child. Luckily this has been slowly changing to this type of relationship anyway, as she has been maturing beyond her years and continues to do so. I am really looking forward to how God is going to use her to guide and lead younger children. I'm looking forward to her...

Update on my mother. Her visit with the Specialist yesterday went very well. There was no need for surgery (praise God) and was able to set the bones in place and cast it. There was allot of bruising and soreness, as to be expected. Praising God for His continued protection, peace and healing on behalf of His daughter/my mother! She's doing well and expecting a full recovery in about 6 weeks. Thank you all for your daily prayers, they were felt! Blessings and Love, Hollie

Senior Prom and 18th Birthday....OH MY!

I've been meaning to sit down earlier this week to type this out but sometimes life doesn't work out how we want it to. It's been a crazy week; with kids being home sick, doctors appointments, giving medications at all hours of the day, sever thunderstorms and tornadoes in our area. But there's been huge blessings in the mist of it all! Our oldest went to her Senior Prom on Saturday, then turned 18 on Monday! How times flies when your raising children! Her daddy took her and dropped her off for a night full of fun and memories with her fellow classmates. Her prom went from 7pm-11pm and she looked like a "Royal Princess"! Prom Princess Her close up I have to brag about this dress! We bought it last June at the Mall on the clearance rake. It was originally $200 but (because I'm SO AWESOME and cheap) we got it for a WHOPPING $30 dollars!!! But then of course you have to have all the nice accessories to go with the dress.
